Google Nexus 9 designed by HTC is a tablet which has checked the boxes of all the essentials including premium built, HD display, latest version of Android and incredible performance. Apple iPads are considered as perfect tablets but with the launch of Nexus 9 iPads have got a strong competition. The fact that drove people crazy is that Nexus 9 is the first tablet that runs Android’s latest 5.0 Lollipop version and will be compatible with the upcoming versions as well. As compared to its predecessors it may cost a bit more of your hard earned money but believe me it is worthy of it.

HTC has shown the height of its creativity in Nexus 9. Focusing on its design, it can stand on top of the line of latest modern designed tablets. Like its predecessors, Nexus 9’s aesthetic is subtle and pleasingly comfortable. Having a metallic frame and rubberized back cover it is slip proof and easy to hold and use. With 0.94 pound and 7.95mm depth it may not match iPad Air’s skinny design and light weight but it is still better than many other tabs. The power button and volume rocker are on tablet’s right side which are camouflaged into the Nexus 9’s neat design. It comes with a trio of colours including matt black, white and gold so chose one which best complements your style.

The new Nexus 9 has 8.9-inch display means it is a bit taller than iPad Air 2. With 2048 x 1536 IPS LCD screen you get to enjoy your media at its best. Nexus 9 with a 4:3 aspect ratio is perfect for both entertainment and productivity apps. If you are among bookworms then you’ll be glad to have Nexus 9 as in landscape mode it offers additional headroom to read text.

All those geeks which try to get their hands on the latest technology as soon as it hits the market were dying to buy Nexus 9 because of its latest version of Android. It is the first tablet that came with Android Lollipop 5.0. The latest version is a refreshing development with visually pleasing interface. Some convenient features like lock screen notifications, modified quick setting and priority mode lets you have an improved user experience. It also share HTC’s flagship smartphone’s double tap wake technology.

The Nvidia’s K1 Tegra processor is the heart of Nexus 9. Moving on from the typical Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset design has proved as a real booster for the performance. With a combination of 64-bit chip and 64-bit OS its CPU performance is much faster than other typical CPUs we commonly find in tablets. Staying productive and up to date on the move is not a problem anymore thanks to the solid wi-fi connections. Equipped with Tegra K1’s single-core it outscores iPad Air in gaming performance. In GeekBench 3 Nexus 9 scored a 1939 single-core score whereas iPad averaged 1815 score with its three-core processor. With a backup of 2GB RAM it gives amazing performance in both work and play.

Nexus 9’s battery is a feature which makes it superior to iPad Air. With a 6,700 mAh battery it gives up to 9.5 hours of battery life with Wi-Fi browsing and movie playback. In a battery test with full brightness a 90-minute Full HD brought battery at 82% which is quite impressive. In the same test Apple’s battery dropped to 79% which is three percent more than Google. Well in a real world testing Nexus 9 can last up to a day and half.

If not extraordinary, Google Nexus 9 is not equipped with a below average camera as well. It features an 8 mega pixel camera at the back which produce slightly darker images than normal. An average picture size is 1.25MB and resolution is 3264 x 2448. The camera app is simple to use and also offers some latest options including panoramic view, lens blur and 360-degree picture-capturing Photo Sphere function.

If you are one of those who focus on what is inside the tablet than you’ll be definitely glad to own Nexus 9 with 64-bit processor, latest Android version and long lasting battery. Even if you focus on the design and built you will not be disappointed by that as well. In short, Nexus 9 is an easy to hold and user friendly device with all the latest features and modern technology you need to boost up your experience.
