True believers and gaming geeks are very excited after the release of new World of Warcraft game. The game has not exploded in a way that it was intended to, but still its pretty cool and fun. Although the recent chapters of the game were jaw droppingly amazing, this new edition does not bring much to the table. There is no unnecessary chase in the open world.
World of Warcraft Shadowlands gives it’s players the power of choice which was left completely up to randomness in the previous chapters. It can be seen in the Covenants, where you choose different houses like the Hogwarts houses. Each one has different endings, armours and different fun activities like mini side games. It adds a fresh and fun aspect to the game, which might keep one stuck to his/her couch.
Although the graphics are pretty amazing and cut-throat, but the long cut scenes take away the fun from the gameplay. You get a lot of unwanted and un-useful information which has nothing to do with the game or the character build-up. You get tired of watching a long cut scene after every few minutes. Back in the old games the cut scenes used to be amazing and the story used to be heart touching and it made sense, but the frequent cut scenes with no actual fun story kills the joy of gameplay completely.
Once you reach level 60, there are some interesting things to do. It has many cool endgames which you can enjoy besides the game. But after a while it might seem a bit dejavu.
Overall the game has a new touch to it after the bland previous chapters, but still it cannot win back the die hard fans which it has lost over the years. World of warcraft is a big name in the industry but now a days where open world games are a big thing, these guys might need to take things up a notch.
