Battery life
Let’s start with the standout feature on the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max – the massive battery life! Is your phone always dying on you? Always looking for charging sockets on the go? The 5000mAh battery on ASUS ZenFone 4 Max means you’ll never need to worry about bringing a charger along with you. The battery is combined with ASUS PowerMaster optimisation tech and lasts an impressive 2 to 3 days on a single charge! Yes, you read right.
Camera & Display
Dual cameras and a huge 5.5” screen on a budget price? Yes please. The mixed material design is similar to the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 and it gives a premium feel to the phone, featuring a Gorilla Glass 4 front and back with metal sides. For such an affordable phone, we’re pretty impressed with the 5.5-inch IPS display and the decent image quality.
Performance
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max runs on the latest version of Android Nougat with ASUS ZenUI and it includes an upgrade to Android Oreo, so expect some brilliant performance. Although the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor isn’t the most powerful, it gives the most efficient experience when it comes to performance, especially for the everyday tasks we use our phones for, such as web browsing or video streaming.
ASUS says: “The ZenFone 4 series represents a major evolution in smartphone camera design, empowering users to rediscover their world from fresh points of view and have more fun exploring and sharing with friends.”
