Lenovo laptops have earned a reputation for affordability and high productivity, thanks to their lightweight exterior, modern hardware selection and comfortable keyboards. In simple words, reliability and usability are the key features of why users are loyal to Lenovo devices. The company caters to the computing needs of a much wider audience and Lenovo V110 is a part of its ultra-low budget line-up.
Lenovo V110-15ISK is mainly an affordable laptop that offers very basic usability with modest features. This is a laptop for writers, office workers and home users with minimal computing requirements and low budget. In fact, this is one of the cheapest Core i3 laptops that you could get in the market right now.
Despite its minimalistic design and low-end features, Lenovo V110 has some considerable strong points. We have reviewed this budget laptop for its specs, design, and performance so that you could make a better decision.

RAM: 4GB Storage: 500GB HDD

Operating System: Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
As we mentioned, the specs on this Lenovo laptop are very basic ye acceptable considering the low-priced tag. Let’s see what it has to offer and what you can expect from this Core i3 laptop.
Design
At a glance, Lenovo V110-15ISK looks like a sleek notebook that you can take with you everywhere. It only weighs around 4.18lbs (1.9kg) and has less than one-inch thickness, whereas its plastic body is fairly sturdy. We found its lid to be slightly rigid while its surface is smooth yet grippy, which is somewhat magnet.
We were unable to open the lid using a single hand, while we found its hinges to be excessively tight. Although the hinges allow movement up to 180 degrees movement, we observed unpredictability in small movements. Overall, this is a good design for an inexpensive laptop with some minor flaws.
Display
Lenovo V110 features a 15.6-inch wide, diagonal HD display that comes with a low-end panel. Screen resolution on this laptop is 1366 x 768p, while the pixel density is 0.253 x 0.253mm pitch. This gives us a pixel per inch (ppi) value of 100, which is good for such a low-priced device.
Surprisingly, the screen brightness of this budget laptop is relatively high. The average brightness value of this display is 240 nits and we noticed an 8% deviation in its lower right corner.
Keyboard
Lenovo has added a full-size keyboard with a number pad on this device for a better typing experience. This is an AccuType keyboard with appropriate key size, fairly short key travel and responsive clicky feedback. The gap between keys is minimum which lessens the chances of dirt and dust settling. Overall, this is a nice keyboard that most users would find easy to use for writing and data entry.
Touchpad
The touchpad on this Lenovo laptop is of average quality and meant for ordinary users. The surface of this trackpad is comparatively short and rough, while the buttons are somewhat stiff. So, if you are a pretentious user, you may find this touchpad a bit tough to use. Nonetheless, for a common user, we found it accurate, receptive, and responsive.
Connectivity
Ports on this 15.5-inch budget laptop are stuffed in a fairly thin design. The right side only houses a 3.5mm audio jack and an optical drive. The left side features a traditional USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0, an HDMI output connector, and an Ethernet (RJ-45) port. Additionally, there is an upfront SD card reader slot near the left edge.
This is a modest selection of ports that includes every possible connection, except the USB-C port. However, at this price, we were not expecting more than what Lenovo has delivered.
Specs and performance
Lenovo V110 features a 6th generation dual-core i3 CPU along with 500GB hard drive storage and a 4GB memory. The dual-core processor has the capability to process four threads at once with a clock speed of 2.0GHz. Unfortunately, this is a basic level processor that does not has the ability to support Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology.
We evaluated its performance by running a couple of Chrome tabs while running office programs at the same time. At first, we didn’t experience any lags, but we witnessed delays as we switch between tabs and files. The laptop failed to stream 1080p video streaming with continuous browsing and shoed holdbacks.
Overall, we found it to be an entry-level laptop that can help you with everyday computing tasks and word processing but nothing more. If your tasks involve media editing or designing, you must look for a laptop with relatively higher hardware.
Battery life
The battery on this Core i3 Lenovo laptop is also modest and doesn’t fit even with Lenovo’s own standards. This is a 24Wh battery that can only keep its screen alive for merely 4 hours. We extracted this value by running the laptop with 120 nits of brightness with Windows battery-saving features turned on while Wi-Fi was on.
Final verdict
Despite its modest performance and a small battery, we find it hard to get picky. Lenovo V110-15ISK is a budget laptop that comes with an absurdly low-price tag and fits the bill perfectly. We found it a decent laptop with solid performance, considering its hardware selection. Unless you are a professional looking for high-speed action, you’ll find satisfactory and worth the price.
