Design:
The design of the Linx 1010 is a huge improvement from the previous Linx 10 tablet. It features a solid build quality, and it is easy to grip with the rubber texture -the premium build quality is not compromised by the low price.
The Linx 1010 includes a keyboard expansion dock, a USB port, mouse port, charging ports and HDMI output. The microSD card slot allows extra storage capacity for small-time entertainment such as films, photos, apps and more.
Screen/Display:
The Linx 1010 has a (1280 x 800) screen resolution with IPS and has good zooming ability. It also has an IPS display with good viewing angles in varied lighting. The tablet is ideal for watching videos or skyping on-the-go, with a screen which is better than many affordable laptops, such as Chromebooks.
Camera:
The Linx 1010 features 2MP front camera and a 2MP rear camera; the camera is not the key selling feature of the device, however it is great for skyping on-the-go.
Hardware:
The Linx 1010 features an Intel Atom Quad Core processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The on-board microSD card reader and on-board USB ports make using USB sticks easier, and allow users to gain extra storage easily.
Battery:
The Linx 1010 has a great battery life, allowing 5-6 hours of continuous usage with average use. This makes it perfect for portable usage; it will have the best battery life when charged overnight.
Keyboard:
The Linx 1010 has an official Keyboard Dock accessory, which is designed to function perfectly with the device to increase performance. The simple docking connection allows users to increase productivity greatly and easily allows the device to transform from a tablet to a laptop. The Keyboard Dock is sold separately or as part of a bundle with the device, it allows users to easily transform the tablet into a great 2-in-1 device –allowing the option to touch or type.
New features/improvements:
The inclusion of two full size USB ports on the side of the tablet is a huge improvement from the previous version, and allows users to easily connect their smartphone to the device for syncing, or even charging –without the need for a keyboard! The new USB ports also allow users to connect cameras or other devices such as printers or scanners, to copy photos, or print/scan. The addition of USB ports is a key selling point which sets the Linx 1010 apart from other tablets, as this feature provides extra connectivity for users. The micro-USB charging available in the Linx 1010 allows easier charging, without the need for a cable.
The docking connector has also been improved, it has two metal guides surrounding it which allow a smoother connection with the keyboard. The keyboard also starts working instantly, which is an improvement from the Linx 10 which would take a few seconds.
The Linx 1010 is evidently an efficient Windows 10 device, including a number of welcome improvements from the previous Linx 10 such as the inclusion of two USB ports, and the improved docking connector. It is the perfect companion for portable entertainment, due to the great battery life and convertible feature.
